Nashville Farmers' Market at Vanderbilt is held every Thursday June 4-Oct.29th, 2015 from 3-6pm in a new location--the corner of 21st Avenue South and Blakemore Avenue near Cornerstone Financial, The Belcourt, Provence Bakery & Cafe, Regions Bank, Fido and more.  

New & Returning farmers & artisans include; Kelley's Berry Farm, Smiley's Farm,  Lucky Farms, Nature's Promise Farm, Howell's Farm, JD Country Milk, Walnut Hills Farm, Provence Bread, Ousley Ouch Salsa, Sue's Flowers,The Peach Truck, The Post, See Sun Vu's Farm, Noble Springs Dairy, Johnson's Honey Farm, Fresh & Local, Nashville Cattle Company, Bellview Produce, Sugar Camp Farm & more. Seasonal guest stars will be popping in as able throughout market season!

All markets are open rain or shine--closing only for severely inclement weather.   All merchants accept cash & checks, some credit/debit cards.  Check our seasonality chart to find out what's in season!

Canning Pix-home and products 004Our Immersion Workshop covers all the basics in a four-hour complete, hands-on class using the most popular and easiest method: water-bath canning.

We’ll do three of the most popular kinds of canning:  A Pickle, A Tomato, and A Fruit — Using Seasonal Selections and all illustrating safe preserving techniques, the variety of food that can be preserved, and how to use them in daily recipes from appetizers to entrees. 

You’ll receive a complete notebook of instructions and the recipes along with a jar of each product to take home. You’ll leave with the knowledge and confidence to do canning on your own – ready to stock your pantry for year-round seasonal goodness!

Join Nashville Farmers’ Market & eight  of Nashville’s Best Chefs for Farmhand Dinner 2015!

Enjoy an innovative and delicious interpretation of a traditional farmhand dinner - a time when farm workers would come together to celebrate a successful day in the fields; and the season together.

Inspired by 5th generation NFM farmer, Troy Smiley of Smiley’s Farm, and featuring a:

locally-sourced menu from over 15 local farmers and purveyors; and the culinary talents of these amazing Chefs listed below!

•   Margot McCormack - Executive Chef, Owner of Margot Café and Bar & Marche Artisan Foods

•    Tyler Brown - Farmer, Rancher and Executive Chef of Capitol Grille, The Hermitage Hotel

•    Sam Tucker – Executive Chef, Owner of Village Bakery & Provisions

•    Laura Wilson - 2x Iron Fork Winning Chef & More

•   Trey Ciocca --Chef of The Farm House

•    Nicole Wolfe —Chef, Owner Wolfecakes

      Ed Smith & Paul Johnson-- Chef Owners of B&C BBQ & Catering

The ticketed event begins with a traditional farmhand "Water Break" with signature cocktails and 

hors d'oeuvres from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm. The dinner bell will ring at 7:00 and feature a plated, 

innovative interpretation of farmhand classics. The dinner also includes wine pairings and live 

music!
