Strawberry Jubilee 2017!

May 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM

We’re kicking-off our 2017 peak growing season with Strawberry Jubilee at the Nashville Farmers’ Market on Saturday, May 6, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is the Nashville-area’s premiere opportunity to taste the sweetest, locally-grown Tennessee strawberries of the season, and to take home every quantity from pints to full flats for freezing, canning, ice cream-making, and, of course, plenty of snacking. Strawberry Jubilee at the Nashville Farmers’ Market will feature a free strawberry tasting table, live music, food trucks, local farmers, and lots of fun for the entire family.

Last year, Strawberry Jubilee at the Nashville Farmers’ Market hosted eight local and regional strawberry farmers who collectively sold more than 5,000 quarts of strawberries to a record-breaking crowd of 8,000 festival attendees by 1 p.m. Cam Conry of Coffee Country brought twice as many strawberries as he did the year before and sold out of his 200 gallons by noon. So get to the market early on Strawberry Jubilee morning to ensure you’re shopping bag will be filled with plenty of the sweet stuff.

The Strawberry Tasting Table at Strawberry Jubilee was by far the biggest attraction, drawing thousands of folks to taste samples from our different strawberry farmers. Shoppers could then choose whose berries they liked best, and head home with their favorites in tow. The Strawberry Tasting Table, as well as the Strawberry Shortcake Contest, will be back this year at our 2017 Strawberry Jubilee, so join our Facebook Event Page to stay tuned for all the details to come!
