C.S.I (cardio strength interval) Bootcamp:
This time-efficient and effective workout combines cardio drills with resistance training exercises using bodyweight, bands and hand weights. Bring a mat, a bottle of water and a smile. All levels are welcome!

Classes are $15/each or inquire about a special unlimited rate for January and February!

Kids Story Time Celebrating Black History Month 11am

On Saturday's in February, join local storytellers as they read books in honor of Black History Month!  

Each story time read will be approximately 11am-11:30am  inside NFM's Market House near Grow Local Kitchen.

Troy Smiley's and Smiley's Farm Present:           Butchering & Curing-- On-Farm Class 

Tennessee is known world-wide for its ham & pork & Smiley's Farm is one of the most well-respected keepers of this Tennessee tradition. For generations, the Smiley family has worked to hone their abilities in the lost art of ham curing & butchering. Troy Smiley wants to share their knowledge & methods with you at this unique educational event.

You'll come to the farm, learn techniques for butchering and curing, and have a rare glimpse into Tennessee traditions and taste.  This class is only offered once per year and to a limited number of attendees. So book your spot at the Registration link today! 

WHEN:  Sunday, March 1st class begins at 1:30pm

WHERE:  Smiley's Farm in Ridgetop, TN approximately 24 miles north of NFM

Nutrition Workshop: Eating for Energy

Join Team Green and Nashville Farmers' Market (NFM)  for the latest installment of our Nutrition Workshop Series!  Every month, we'll tackle a different food or nutrition related topic, helping you to make healthy eating choices all year 'round!


Better nutrition is a goal that shows up on everyone's to-do list at some point, but sometimes nutrition seems so commercialized, you just don't know what to trust. That's why we've partnered together to bring you a monthly Nutrition Workshop series to help answer some of our most basic nutrition questions, while adding the flare and fun of cooking demonstations and food tastings to the agenda.

This month's workshop topic is Eating for Energy

Difficulty:This is a social, educational workshop designed to introduce participants to a range of nutrition topics.

In this month's installment of our Nutrition Workshop Series, we'll hear from experts at BlissHolistic You'll learn easy ways to incorporate or blend key ingredients to help create naturally-derived energy for your body and mind.  We'll also preview our full Nutrition Series line up of topics, so you'll know months in advance which don't-miss workshops to add to your personal calendar. 


In partnership with the Nashville Farmers' Market, Team Green's Nutrition Workshop Series hosts a knowledgeable speaker every month to cover information on nutrition and cooking related topics that can be easily transferred into our daily lives in an informal, casual setting. Each presentation is interactive and allows for discussion throughout. Topics will vary month-to-month, and are designed to cover a range of dietary interests. Each workshop is free and includes a roughly one-hour presentation or cooking demonstration with opportunities for questions/answers and engaging with other participants. When possible, workshops will include hands-on elements, samples, and take-home items. All workshops are open to the public!

Regular Meeting of the Nashville Farmers' Market Commission

The January regular meeting of NFM Board will be held on the fourth Wednesday, January 28th at 9:30 am. 

Regular meetings of the Nashville Farmers' Market Commission typically occur on the 4th Wednesday of each calendar month at 9:30am in the meeting room upstairs at Nashville Farmers' Market next to the administrative offices.
