Turnip Green Festival at the Nashville Farmers’ Market

The Turnip Green Festival at the Nashville Farmers' Market is back and better than ever! Join us on Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 10 am to 2, with live blues music by The BB King All Stars. Enjoy free turnip green and cornbread samples from the World's Largest Pot of Turnip Greens prepared by Smiley's Farm.  Savor whole-hog smoked barbecue from Nashville favorite Smokin' Joe. Watch a live chef demonstration with author Melissa Haithcock of A Happy Healthy Heart in the Edible Kitchen. Enter your best cornbread recipe in the Cornbread Cook-Off , sponsored by Martha White. And if these activities aren't exciting enough, register to participate in the Turnip Green Eating Contest, and take home the $100 grand prize. The Turnip Green Festival, sponsored by Smiley's Farm, at the Nashville Farmers' Market, on Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 10 am to 2 pm — the most Southern food event of the fall season!
