Farmhand Dinner Wrap-Up

This past Wednesday, eight of Nashville's finest chefs, more than 40 farmers and merchants, 250 guests, and Mayor Megan Barry gathered together for the Fourth Annual Farmhand Dinner at the Nashville Farmers' Market. The 4-course meal featured ingredients sourced directly from our merchant community, and proceeds went directly to the Friends of the Nashville Farmers' Market. It was a night of food, community, agriculture, and celebration for the end of a successful peak season for our producer-only market.

Although the food was certainly the biggest draw to the Farmahnd Dinner, the real highlight for our staff was watching our farmers and merchants enjoy a meal created from the fruits of their labor. We've faced many challenges together this year, yet our commitment to each other—a community of over 200 farmers and small businesses—proves stronger than any challenge, especially with the support of our mayor, Nashville's chefs, and our dedicated community.

At the Farmhand Dinner, we celebratedthe work of individuals and families that have chosen to dedicate their lives to grow, raise, create, make and share an abundance of high quality products at the Nashville Farmers’ Market. In honor of their hard work, we gathered the support of the finest, most innovative chefs and restaurateurs in Nashville to source and prepare a comfortable and delicious meal, including Laura Wilson and the producers of Citizen Kitchens, Hal Holden-Bache, Tandy Wilson, Tyler Brown, Trey Cioccia, Ed Smith, and Lisa Donovan.

In addition to our participating chefs and restaurateurs, we'd like to thank the following who helped make this wonderful event possible:
