Chef Margot McCormack Gives Demo at Nashville Farmers’ Market

This Saturday July 2nd, 2016, at the Nashville Farmers’ Market, Chef Margot McCormack gives two live demonstrations in the Edible Kitchen at 10 and 11am. McCormack is the chef/owner of Margot Café & Bar in East Nashville’s Five Points district, and has been a member of the Nashville Farmers’ Market Board since 2011. McCormack will demonstrate a Crispy Corn Salad using fresh summer produce supplied by farmers at the Nashville Farmers' Market.

 

At her restaurant, Chef McCormack is most known for her seasonal menus prepared with fresh ingredients sourced locally. This Saturday, McCormack will feature a dish in the Edible Kitchen that highlights summer favorites provided by local and regional farmers — sweet corn provided by Hancock Family Farm, tomatoes grown by Simon's Produce, and cucumbers from Athena's Harvest Farm. Chairs are available for audience members, and a handwritten recipe card and samples of the menu are offered after the demonstrations. 

 

The Edible Kitchen is sponsored by Edible Nashville abd features local chefs preparing simple meals with what's in season. Demos are held every first and third Saturday of the month at 10 and 11am at the Nashville Farmers' Market. Plenty of parking is available on weekends in surrounding state lots.
