We hope you will join us in 2009 at the Nashville Farmers’ Market as we complete our transformation to become the southeast’s premiere public market and an irreplaceable asset to our surrounding agricultural community.
For the past three years we have been reaching out and listening to local farmers and our customers to guide our work; planning and implementing changes at our downtown market to once again have farmers as a main component of our daily offerings.
The Farmers’ Market goals are to support our region’s farms by: connecting consumers directly to local food producers, strengthening urban-rural community bonds, and educating the public on the benefits of eating locally produced food. With these goals in place, our primary mission is to transform the market into a place where area farmers are successful selling to Nashville’s urban consumer.
Secondarily, the Market also strives to provide space for the success of local artisan food producers and produce, plant and food retailers.
